issues we should tackle first.

Hunger Actions
Come to an Activist Workshop in Denver
CoPIRG Student Chapters in conjunction with the Public Interest Network is organizing a Free Activist Workshop
on Saturday, January 23rd in Denver. Show-up ready for action. We will
spend the day moving between large group overviews and small groups to
give people an opportunity to learn and internalize skills.
The skills we are focused on are skills passionate activists need to know how-to-do.

10:00 – 10:15 Welcome/Introductions
10:15 – 10:30 Overview of Working with the Media
10:30 – 11:15 Small Groups: Planning a News Conference
11:15 – 11:30 Overview of Pitching Reports
11:30 – 12:45 Small Groups: Pitching Reports
12:45 – 1:00 Break, Meet fellow area activists
1:00 – 1:15 Overview of Volunteer Recruitment
1:15 – 1:55 Small Groups: Volunteer Outreach
1:55 – 2:00 Wrap-up
The
trainers will be experienced staff from CoPIRG and the Public Interest
Network. This event is open to the public, feel free to spread the
word to other activists.
The training will be held at Colorado University Denver, Aurora campus.
